7-60 days: 100% refund less a $20 course processing fee ($40 for dual credit courses)

181+ days: No refund, credit or fee

$10 fee for each lesson resubmission if allowed
$15 fee for each exam retake if allowed

If K12 is notified of the withdrawal prior to the course start date and prior to the shipping of materials, a credit will be issued for 100% of tuition, materials and shipping fees.

If K12 is notified of the withdrawal prior to the course start date and after the shipping of materials, a credit will be issued for 100% of the tuition charge of the withdrawn course.

If K12 is notified of the withdrawal within thirty (30) days of the course start date and after the shipping of materials, a credit will be issued for 50% of the tuition charge of the withdrawn course.

If K12 is notified of the withdrawal thirty-one (31) days or more after the course start date, no credit will be issued.

Course Extension

AP, Chinese and Middle School courses are paced, with weekly due dates.  High School Plus courses contain pacing guides and students are expected to complete the course by the term end date.

MVS  instructors and administration strongly recommend that all students finish their online courses by the deadline of each given term. In the event a student is unable to complete the course in the given timeline, an extension request may be submitted.

MVS course fees/enrollments may not include books or materials (e-Textbooks are available in most courses). MVS AP courses may require that schools purchase books directly from the publisher. Please review the specific course description for information on Additional Costs, such as for textbooks, lab equipment or specific technology.

Drop/Refund

Enrollments that are dropped by the course refund date or within five (5) calendar days from making the enrollment are subject to a full refund.

Withdrawals after the drop date will be charged the full cost of the course to cover licensed material and instructor costs.

Courses Offered/Cost

All courses are taught by certified teachers. Students can work at their own pace within the course and the teachers provide support, grading, and feedback to students.
Basic Education Services:

  • $280 per semester course per student for a 20 week enrollment
  • $290 per semester course for AP courses (students should take both semesters of an AP course to be prepared for the AP exam)
  • Price is per student/per semester/per course. Seat is not reusable

Extended Services:

  • Additional $150 per semester course per student for a 20 week enrollment
  • This level is for students who may lack skills or have learning gaps, resulting in the need for an increased level of support and academic accommodations from their teachers. This level includes the services outline above in Basic Education Services. Additionally, students receiving extended instructional services may receive adjusted course settings, weekly live tutoring sessions with their teachers, and additional specified services in order to meet that student's unique needs.        

All core courses are available for students to take in credit recovery mode.

(Students taking courses for NCAA academic eligibility cannot take courses in credit recovery mode and AP courses are not available in credit recovery mode)

Refunds are based on courses dropped within 30 days of enrollment.

Course tuition will be refunded 100%, less $30 processing fee and $15 for each completed evaluation, project or progress test.

Administrative fees ($40, included in the course cost) are non-refundable.

Virtual Learning Academy Consortium, operated by Oakland Schools, features Calvert Education Curriculum
Curriculum accredited by: Middle States Association Commission on Elementary and Secondary Schools

Courses Offered/Cost Calvert Education Curriculum, powered by Oakland Schools, for grades K-8.

Calvert Education package includes daily lesson manuals along with all textbooks, workbooks and reading materials. Online resources include Discovery Education Streaming, BrainPop, e-textbooks, and Calvert instructional videos.

Enrollment is all-inclusive by grade level.
